Hello again fellow #podcastjunkie!
I think it way past due that I introduce you to another one of my favorite podcasts, the Who Ya Know – Job Networking Show! You can find their video podcasts live every Wednesday at 3 p.m. CST on LinkedIn, YouTube, and on their Facebook page. You can also find archived episodes here as well.
A former client, Tommy Crenshaw, who happens to be a raving fan of the organization, introduced me to Who Ya Know guys. He used techniques he had learned during the workshops to make the introduction and let me tell you, I was blown away, excited, and a little in awe when I watched the BombBomb video. The Who Ya Know guys bring you great guests each week to share knowledge related to a job search. Since the show is streamed live, the audience has the opportunity to ask questions in real-time through chat. It is one of the few podcasts I have been on where they INSIST you have your phone with you so you can answer the audience.
Here is what I love about Trevor Houston, Mark Elder, and Foster Williams:

- They provide a workshop to help you better your job search every week FOR FREE (or as Trevor would say, “Free.99!”) hosted at The Star
- They stream a live video podcast each week at their own expense to provide valuable career search information
- They provide FREE professional headshots (a must for everyone)
- They host a quarterly workshop packed full of intense information to help you better your job search
These are just a few of the services these guys provide because they believe in giving back more than they receive.
Who Ya Know has created a large community that provides support to one another. They practice pay it forward and give back at every meeting. Trevor recently shared he had partnered with another organization to create a fund called “Doughnuts and Dollars” (hope I got that right!) to help those members in transition who might be having a little bit tougher time than others.
Since Tommy’s amazing introduction, I have had the opportunity to participate in several of their shows. One show in particular will be my favorite for all times. I was on the show to promote a summit for job seekers and there was another young lady on the show who had just graduated and was having a difficult time finding her first job. I was impressed with her from the moment she started speaking! During the podcast I did something very impulsive…I asked her if she wanted to be a recruiter…live, no take-backs! I am happy to report Ali Schroeder has now worked with me for about three months and I could not be happier with my impulsivity!
This is what this show is all about. Finding people jobs! Making the connections to help people be successful! I have met some amazing people through this show and I know I will meet many more in the future.
